Zach + Katelyn Engaged | Austin Engagement Photographer | Driftwood TX

Featured on the blog today is a super sweet engagement session for a wonderful couple: Zach and Katelyn.  Katelyn first contacted me looking for a wedding photographer, and as I try to do with all potential wedding clients, we met up to discuss details and see if I would be the right fit for their day.  It didn’t take long to decide we were a perfect fit and that we had a lot in common, like our love for treating our animals as children haha.  It’s authentic clients like Katelyn and Zach, who are so easy for me to click with, that solidify who I am as a wedding photographer.  I never want to be a total stranger on a wedding day, I always want to be invested in my couples and I want them to know that I'm invested.  It might sound mildly creepy that I want to be friends with my clients, but it’s true haha!  Capturing those special moments on their big day is job that I don’t take lightly, and if I can add value to those moments by being more emotionally invested, I’m going for it!  

Katelyn and Zach are a great example of clients turned friends and I am SO excited to be apart of their wedding this summer.  I loved spending time with them on their property in Driftwood, TXand getting to meet their adorable fur babies earlier this year for their engagement session.  I seriously love Katelyn's style (Like that GORGEOUS opal engagement ring) which makes me even more stoked for their big day.  But my favorite part was getting a chance to see them as a couple, just being them.  From the way they look at each other with genuine love and make each other laugh so effortlessly, you can tell that what they have is real.  I think that’s my favorite part of engagement sessions, when you go passed the pretty poses and get down to the moments of genuine adoration.  Real life love, filled with laughter and honesty, is the best kind of love and my favorite kind to photograph.
