Jason: Class of 2017 | Austin + Destination Senior Photographer | Downtown Glendale AZ

Featured on the blog today is Jason, a Valley Vista High School senior I had the privilege of photographing this spring in AZ. Jason wanted a session with an urban feel and Downtown Glendale ended up being the perfect spot! A little fact you may not know about me: I really really really don't like parking in most downtown situations. From trying to find street parking to the crazy traffic, it's usually a hassle I try to avoid. I suck it up for photoshoots but I'm always looking for alternative locations that give you that same urban feel AND have a convenient parking lot haha. Well now, Downtown Glendale will always be my first choice when I visit Phoenix. There were so many textures, store fronts, and unique spots to choose from to create trendy city portraits AND it was extremely convenient coming from the West side of the Valley. But of course, what really made these portraits trendy was Jason. Seriously, I kept telling him he needed start modeling on the side because he absolutely rocked his session. These images are some of my favorite senior pictures to date and it's all due to Jason letting me get creative while capturing his personality. Life is too short to take portraits that don't show the world who you are.

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to photograph this milestone for Jason. Even if he doesn't take my advice on the modeling thing, I know this guy has tons of success ahead of him!
