McKenna: Class of 2020 | Kansas City Senior Photography | Favorite Places in KC

Meet McKenna, a beautiful Kansas City born and raised 2020 graduate! We did things a little differently for her senior session and I can’t wait to show you all of it. Typically, I suggest 1 location for my sessions so we can focus on that spot and spend most of our time taking pictures rather than traveling between areas. But when McKenna and her mom explained that she really wanted to show a few of her very favorite spots in KC, I was all in! Pretty locations are one thing, but when a location truly means something to you, it’s exponentially more beautiful!

We started off at her house so we could capture some photos of her and Seamus, her precious teddy bear hamster. From there, I knew I was going to LOVE this senior and the rest of her session. Next, we took off to Loose Park to enjoy the ponds, a climbing tree, the roses and all of the gorgeous scenery it has to offer. After that we went to The Nelson, which is one of my favorite spots too! But I have to say, we probably saved the best for last: We stopped for dinner and a few portraits at her very favorite taco spot, Tiki Taco.

Through all of our exploring and photographing, we talked about McKenna’s life, why each spot was important, laughed about memories and inside jokes, and even talk about her aspirations. This girl is absolutely stunning, no doubt about that, but she also has an equally beautiful heart and mind! It was a privilege to get to see so many facets of who she is come out in our time together. It allowed me to illustrate beautiful images for this milestone in her life that she and her family will be able to look back on for years and years. It’s why I do what I do and I’m so thankful I get to do it!
