The Graham Family | Kansas City Photographer | Destination Session: Las Vegas, NV

Today on the blog we have a very  VERY special family to me <3 The Graham Family.   Ready for the back story as to why I love this crew so much?

I  first met Kirsty and Alex when I was living in Las Vegas, doing photography part time, going to college, and working in a golf course pro shop.  Fun fact, most of my job experience before photography is golf related ;).  Kirsty and Alex both worked at the golf course with me and I got to watch their love story unfold as their friend and coworker.  Fast forward a bit, I had to leave the golf course to focus on my last semester in college and shortly after graduating I moved to Arizona.  We stayed in touch through social media and a lot more life including my marriage, their engagement, and me going full time into EffJay Photography!  

They had always been very encouraging and supportive in regards to my little business, but I was still in shock when they asked me if I would photograph their wedding!  That's right, they were my first wedding inquiry and my first wedding!  As with many photographers, I wasn't sure I wanted to dive into that world of photography but Alex and Kirsty are a couple I was willing to give it a try for.  So I shot their beautiful wedding and I was hooked.  I am so SO thankful that they trusted me before I even really trusted myself.  They told me how much it would mean to them for me to photograph their day, but they will never know how much it meant to me in the moment and in the long term.  Because of that opportunity, I've been able to meet so many amazing couples and capture breathtaking love stories, each as unique as the pair they unite.  It opened up a whole new world for me and another passion for photography.  

Fast forward another couple of years to 2017, I got to see them while visiting Las Vegas to shoot  a wedding (all thanks to them!).  We met up at the always popular Red Springs Trail and I got to meet their sweet little girl for the first time!  She was cute as a button with a personality to match.  Even with the crazy Las Vegas wind she was all smiles and we got some precious portraits of this should-all-be-models family.  Seriously, with anyone else, the crazy valley gusts might have been a problem but they absolutely rocked it.

So from the beginning stages of their relationship, to marriage, to parenthood, I've gotten to witness and capture some pretty amazing moments in their lives and I'm thankful for each and every one of them.  Keep scrolling to see just a few of my favorites from their Destination Portrait Session in Las Vegas, NV:
