Boho Rustic Wedding Inspiration | Kansas City Wedding Photographer | Heritage Ranch
Today on the blog, is something I’ve been sitting on for months and patiently waiting to share with y’all! Last Fall, I had the honor of working with some amazing Kansas City Wedding Vendors and EA Bride Magazine to create this gorgeous Boho Rustic Styled Wedding at Heritage Ranch in Sedalia, MO. What’s even more exciting is that this shoot has been published in the 2019 Spring/Summer EA Bride mag! So if you or someone you know is planning a wedding, definitely go grab a copy from their website here: https://eabride.com/store/
This is my first publication ** Insert Happy Dancing Here** so, you know, my Mom is super proud haha. But no really, I’m just so thankful I got to be apart of this and meet so many amazing people who made everything come together so seamlessly. We shot this styled wedding with some crazy wind, an impending storm, and even with me locking my camera and keys in my car the minute I arrived. But it just goes to show that with the right team, no matter the obstacles, magic will be made!
Favorite elements? I have to say, I was instantly excited about the shoot when it was decided that the groom would be in a rust colored suit jacket! Grooms, neutral suits will never go out of style, but don’t be afraid to venture into other colors if that’s your taste. Every color in this shoot came together perfectly and each vendor did a stellar job capturing that boho rustic feel with each and every detail. I love that the colors were accessible, but still something a little different from your average wedding.
Probably my favorite part was just getting to hang out with the models, a real married couple who I could make kiss has much as I wanted haha! They were so much fun and our senses of humor clicked right away. I’m going to be totally honest: I love all of the details of weddings and I have so much appreciation for them, but the people are my comfort zone. All of my nervous energy melted as soon as I started focusing on the sweet love of these newlyweds. It was wonderful to walk away feeling accomplished from all of the shooting we had done, but also with a sense of confidence in who I am as a photographer. I will always be more enchanted by the magic of the people in front of my camera regardless of the surroundings and circumstances. People and what’s important to them, is and will always be my focus.
Before you keep scrolling to see just some of my favorite images from this shoot, I have a couple of things:
Be sure to check out the links at the end of the images, these vendors are top notch and they’re all on Instagram! So follow them for more pictures from this shoot!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, whether you’re a friend, a client, or we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, I’m bubbling over with gratitude as I write today. While the last year has had it’s ups and downs, it’s all steps forward, and I’m so grateful for every person who has taken the time to read my words, look at my pictures, “like” my posts, or support me in any way!
Ok NOW you can scroll. I hope you enjoy this inspiration shoot as much as I have! Feel free to share with any friends who might be intrigued by this Boho Rustic styling for their own wedding!
