Lindsey: Class of 2020 | Kansas City Senior Photographer | Lee's Summit, MO
Is it even a Midwest Senior Session if you don’t photograph your senior in a sunflower field?
Lindsey was actually my very first 2020 senior so naturally, she needed to be the first senior I blogged for 2020. We captured her session in the Summer and opted for a sunrise shoot to avoid some heat and get some beautiful sunrise lighting. If you’re wanting lots of magical lighting variations in your photos, I HIGHLY recommend shooting at this time. You can go from moody “golden” to super bright in hardly any time at all. While you can also achieve this around sunset, there is just something special about sunrise that will always seem a little more magical.
Now, even though we were also trying to beat the heat, something I’m still getting used to in the Midwest is how HUMID the mornings can be. Thankfully, Lindsey was a super trooper, trudging through dewey grass to get to treasure spots like this sunflower field. Then she also came prepared with the most stunning, long, naturally wavy locks! The humidity just amplified the beauty of her hair where as if she had tried to straighten it that morning, it may have been a battle. So ladies, take a pointer from this senior, let your natural hair be the star of the show ESPECIALLY if your wanting to shoot during the humid seasons. You’ll be so much happier with the results and the photos will be even more you.

Lindsey, thank you again for trusting me to illustrate this chapter in your life and how gorgeous you are inside and out! I had the best time with you this morning, and I’m rooting for you in your next life endeavors!
