Pat: Class of 2020 | Kansas City Senior Photographer | Olathe, KS
Featured on the blog today is Pat, a beautiful 2020 graduate who I had the honor of photographing this late winter/early spring! We planned her session at Heritage Park in Olathe, KS for it’s hills, gorgeous lake and perfect winter landscape colors. We even had the bonus of the sun peaking out several times giving us lots of variety of light to play in and even giving us some glimpses of blue sky. I honestly love shooting on warmer winter days. I’ve always felt like the winter gets a bad rep because it’s so cold, but the colors can be so complimentary for portraits as they create the perfect blank canvas.
Pat found me on instagram, so I was excited to get to know her at her session and capture as much of her personality as I could! What I discovered right away was how sweet and kind natured she is, but I have to say my favorite thing was learning about her love of science and that she competes in Science Olympiad. Math and Science were my absolute FAVORITE subjects in school. To this day, I love solving math problems and talking to my scientist relatives about what they’re working on, it’s just the way my brain is wired. So I always feel like when I meet other people who love math and science, we connect on a different level.
The whole afternoon was just a blast as we captured so many parts of how beautiful this 2020 graduate is! Keep scrolling to see some of my favorites from this winter senior session:
Thank you again Pat, for trusting me to a little bit of who you are in your senior portraits!
